Tierra Blanca @The Margo Albert Theater
April 2nd, 8pm 

For one night only, Tierra Blanca presents Spanish language comedy “Entre Madre Z Te Veas.”  Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 or $20 at the door. Reserve your seat HERE

✹ Special Benefit Concert

April 3rd, 1:30-6pm

Plaza hosts a special afternoon of music in loving memory of guitarist Eddie ‘Armen’ Dariz.  Performances by The Chico Band, The Rudy Roman Band and Eddie Armendariz Friendship Band. Proceeds will assist Eddie’s family with medical and funeral expenses.  More information HERE

Plaza’s School of Performing & Visual Arts  instruction continues in Spring with over 100 classes and workshops for children, teens and adults in dance, music, theater and visual arts. Theater Performance
April 7-10 & 14-17, FREE 
CalArts Center for New Performance and Duende CalArts present  “Shelter,” a movement – based theatrical performance that shares stories of the massive human crisis of unaccompanied minors crossing the U.S. border and passing through the U.S. deportation shelter system.  Written and conceived by Marissa Chibas, “Shelter” is directed by Mexico City – based director Martin Acosta and choreographed by Fernando Belo.  FREE Outdoor Performances in Lincoln Park. Plaza hosts its third annual Selena Fan Gathering presented by LoveSelena for and by fans to celebrate the life and music of Selena Quintanilla-Perez. This celebration marks what would have been her 45th Birthday with FREE festivities including a “Selena Look-a-like” contest, “Bidi Bidi Baby” contest and special “Washing Machine” dance workshops. There will also be live painting demonstration with Muralist Levi Ponce, food, vendors, giveaways and more!
VITA Tax Prep through

As a part of Plaza de la Raza’s FamilySource Services, we provide FREE VITA income tax preparation to qualified individuals.  Contact Mayra, Francis or Carolyn for more info on VITA at (323)223-2475. W hen doing your state taxes, please also be aware of the voluntary donation option to “Keep Arts in Schools Fund” which allows Californians to make tax-deductible contributions of $1 or more to arts education programs.
FamilySource Programming ~ Ongoing
FamilySource Centers are located throughout the City of Los Angeles to serve, assist and support residents in their local neighborhoods and communities.
