Almas Espinadas at the Boathouse Gallery
Curated by Alejandra Avalos, Almas Espinadas features work by 36 local emerging artists and will be on view from February 13–28, 2026 at Plaza de la Raza’s Boathouse Gallery. Highlighting artists whose work exists outside the norm, Almas Espinadas responds to chaos and disruption reflecting our current political and social climate; the featured works invite curiosity and interpretation, challenge the status quo, and celebrate pride in identity and origins, encouraging viewers to think deeply about their circumstances and question the realities around them.
